The Role This Executive Officer role supports the RACP's Adult Medicine Division (AMD) i s the largest Division of RACP, representing over 22,000 members (Fellows and trainees) who practice in a wide variety of specialties. The AMD includes three Chapters, which support the following groups of practitioners: Australasian Chapter of Addiction Medicine Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine Australasian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine This role specifically supports these three Chapters of the AMD and their associated committees with responsibilities including, but not limited to: Secretariat support to the Chapters and their associated committees, including coordinating regular meetings and p reparing related documents e.g. agenda's, briefs, correspondence, reports, applications, e-bulletin content. Implementing AMD Council and Chapter Committee decisions and strategic priorities in consultation with the Senior Executive Officer. Supporting Chapter events such as workshops and conferences. Monitoring and advising on Chapter policies and by-laws, and ensure these are regularly reviewed and updated. Building and maintaining positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including elected and appointed committee members, external Specialty Societies, and other RACP staff. Desired Skills and Experience The Successful Candidate To be successful in the role, you will possess the following skills and attributes: Demonstrated experience in delivering professional client and secretariat services, particularly in a membership organisation. High level stakeholder relationship skills, with demonstrated ability to develop good working relationships with senior professionals and represent stakeholders both internally and externally. High level written and verbal communication skills. Ability to research and prepare summary briefs on a range of health sector topic areas. Ability to work independently and take responsibility for outcomes, while also collaborating in a professional team. High level organisational skills and attention to detail. Proven ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines from multiple stakeholders. Professional resilience and the ability to adapt to a changing work environment. Ability to work to processes and procedures Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and video/teleconferencing platforms Experience working in health or membership-based organisations would be advantageous.
