The Technical Sales Consultant will be accountable for assessing, quoting & converting complex sales opportunities. These opportunities will require technical skill to assess the challenge, understanding how the problem will be solved on the ground & the value that will add to the customer. Overall the role of Technical Sales is to solve our Customer’s problems with real care. They will take ownership of the problem and commit to finding a solution. Ultimately, they play a crucial role in delivering on the O’Brien® promise of “Expert’s Making It Easy”. They will always seek to ensure that the customer is well informed, provided the best range of solutions to meet their needs and ensure that service offerings are achievable to a high quality, on time and on budget. Quotations should reflect a gross margin that befits the quality and benefits of the O’Brien® service offering whilst maintaining competitive pricing within Company guidelines. Internally, they will be responsible for handing off the opportunity to the operations team, in enough detail to ensure the job can be executed as promised. They will develop internal relationships, to ensure a seamless service & an ongoing focus on solving the customer’s problems with real care from ‘end to end’. The Technical Sales Consultant may need to remain the face of O’Brien opposite the customer, for key projects. They will also actively seek out opportunities and maintain key relationships to ensure a flow of new opportunities.
