Multiple opportunities await The Legal Practice and Capability (LP&C) Branch is an integral part of the Agency's legal function, providing essential support to both the Chief Counsel and General Counsel Divisions. The primary focus of the LP&C Branch is to enhance legal knowledge and capabilities across the Agency through various activities such as recruitment, procurement, onboarding, learning and development initiatives, strategic reporting, and project management within the divisions. Positions are available in recruitment support, procurement support and accounts support functions, as outlined below: The key duties of the position include Legal Recruitment Support This role works alongside the Recruitment and Staff Development Branch and is an enabling function. The role assists with a range of administrative and operational support tasks to facilitate the recruitment and onboarding functions for the Chief Counsel Division and General Counsel Division. Responsibilities of the role may include but are not limited to: Leading a small team to facilitate internal and external APS and contractor recruitment activities Providing support for on-boarding processes, including system access and first day tasks for New Starters Management of the internal recruitment inbox - responding to any correspondence related to recruitment, onboarding, and system access. Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across both Divisions, and to our recruitment business partners in the Recruitment and Staff Development Branch. Providing other administrative support as required. Legal Procurement Support This role is based in the Legal Practice and Capability Branch and works with the Procurement Branch to assist with a range of administrative and operational support tasks for the Chief Counsel Division and General Counsel Division in procurement of goods and services. Responsibilities of the role may include but are not limited to: Lead a small team to manage varied procurement processes such as engaging Counsel, external legal advice, legal secondees through the WoAG Legal Services Panel and adhoc requirements. Drafting procurement documents, quality assurance and process improvements Drafting and implementing guidance materials for procurement processes Monitoring and tracking procurement, maintaining internal trackers and providing monthly reporting. Legal Accounts Support This role is based in the Legal Practice and Capability Branch and works alongside Shared Financial Services and assists with a range of administrative and operational support tasks to in the account's functions for the Chief Counsel Division and General Counsel Division. Responsibilities of the role may include but are not limited to: Leading a team to manage all Chief Counsel and General Counsel Divisions' Legal Accounts Payable and management of legal accounts within the Finance Policy framework. Monitor, action and allocate work that flows through the central inbox. Establishing & maintaining Law Firm Invoice Rate Tools Ongoing management of the account's team tracker and processing End of Month (EOM) reconciliations. Oversee Invoice approvals & Processing invoices for payment. Support the team with escalation & resolution of invoice queries.
