The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the mechanical design process, collaborating with engineers and other team members to create innovative solutions for our clients. This role requires strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of mechanical design. Skills: - Proficiency in CAD software (such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD) - Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles - Excellent communication and teamwork skills - Ability to lead and mentor junior designers - Creative problem-solving abilities - Attention to detail and accuracy in design work - Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in mechanical design Responsibilities: - Lead the mechanical design process for projects, from concept development to final product delivery - Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to define project requirements and goals - Develop detailed drawings, models, and specifications for mechanical components and systems - Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for proposed designs - Oversee the work of junior designers on assigned projects - Ensure that all designs meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations - Participate in design reviews, project meetings,and presentations Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field - Minimum of 5 years experience in mechanical design roles - Previous experience leading a team or managing projects is preferred - Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus - Strong portfolio showcasing past design work - Willingness to work part-time hours as needed
