Your role at St John of God Social Outreach We are seeking applications for a Social Worker to join our Raphael Services team on a permanent part-time basis. Primary location for this role will be Success for 0.6 FTE and secondary location will be Wembley for 0.2 FTE. Working as a Social Worker, you will provide advanced mental health therapy services to individuals and families experiencing antenatal, post-natal and parenting difficulties. The Position Provide evidence based senior Social Work services to patients/carers within the clinical specialty area/s. Ensures prioritisation and delegation of duties for own caseload and supervised staff. Contributes to the evaluation of the Social Work Service and Clinical Specialty, to ensure continuous improvement. Ensures effective multidisciplinary team work through professional communication and comprehensive liaison with colleagues, patient/carers and service providers. Ensures maintenance of appropriate clinical documentation and clinical information systems. Demonstrates reflective practice and commitment to professional development. Supports Social Work service through communicating issues and ideas for enhancing the service (through to the coordinator of Social Work). You will have demonstrated senior clinical experience and leadership in a specialised area of clinical practice within a healthcare setting, ability to undertake professional supervision and mentor junior staff and to promote professional competence and growth of staff. Successful applications will hold a tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Work.
