Join us to make a difference for all students in NSW Position details: Clerk Grade 9/10 Temporary full-time role (3 years) Close to Wynyard station & hybrid work arrangements available About the role: We are looking for a dynamic Senior UAT Development Engineer to join the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of education in NSW. In this position, you will lead the design, management and automation of user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts to guarantee our software solutions meet and exceed user expectations. Collaborating with various business units, you'll develop effective UAT strategies that enhance quality assurance with a strong focus on automation. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the educational outcomes of students statewide by ensuring the tools and systems they rely on are of the highest quality. Your key responsibilities will include: Leading and managing UAT processes to identify and address software and process gaps, reducing operational risks. Providing expert support to internal stakeholders to enhance software quality and promote user adoption. Developing and implementing effective testing strategies, plans and scripts. Analysing test results, adjusting tests as necessary and reporting on progress, risks and issues with recommendations for improvement. Creating and maintaining test automation strategies, frameworks and scenarios, overseeing the development of automation suites. Collaborating with team members to discuss test outcomes and efficiently reporting any issues or defects. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders to facilitate UAT efforts. Managing and mentoring staff within the team. Assisting the Insights, Analysis and Research team with data processing and reporting tasks. Our ideal candidate will have: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience. Extensive experience working with complex IT systems and delivering high-quality testing outcomes for live deployments. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and test case design techniques. Proven ability to design and execute technical test strategies and produce relevant documentation. Expertise in current technologies underpinning enterprise-level IT systems, including various operating systems, modern programming languages and database systems, including open-source technologies. Experience in developing automated testing strategies and building testing frameworks. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with team members and internal stakeholders, with experience in mentoring and coaching staff. A valid NSW Working with Children Check.
