The ideal candidates should possess in-depth understanding of the NSW hospital medical workforce structure ensuring seamless coordination within the healthcare system. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office software is a must, coupled with exceptional keyboard skills, as the role requires the creation and management of critical documents and reports. This role requires a strong understanding of Health Roster and rostering processes, along with a working knowledge of Medical officer awards to ensure compliance and fairness in scheduling. The successful candidates should also bring previous experience in office management and administration, showcasing the ability to effectively organise, prioritise tasks, and meet tight deadlines. Strong verbal communication, problem-solving, and planning skills are essential, allowing for proactive and independent work in a collaborative healthcare environment. What You'll be Doing To provide effective, efficient and high quality Secretarial support to the Director of Medicine, Director of Physician Training, Staff Specialists, Visiting Medical Officers, Advanced Trainees, Medical Registrars, Nursing and Research Staff. To act as first point of contact for the Department of Medicine, plus a range of contacts at all levels from Western Sydney University, research stakeholders, medical representatives, Primary Health Network, Royal Australian College of Physicians and hospital staff liaising with the medical team. Demonstrated high level experience in the use of all Microsoft Office software with excellent keyboard skills. Experience in Health Roster. Demonstrated experience in office management and administration skills with an ability to organise and prioritise work and complete tasks within tight timeframes. Demonstrated high level written communication skills, preferably with previous experience in the preparation of research grant applications or other complex documents. High level of verbal communication skills at various levels. Demonstrated ability to exercise judgement with regard to the release of information on confidential matters. Experience in rostering and employment processes. Working knowledge of Medical officer awards. Demonstrated and well developed planning, organisational and problem saving skills with the ability to show initiative and work unsupervised.
