Job Description ASO6 Administrative Services Officer Approximate 11-month contract| Canberra Location | $63.88 - $67.00 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation OVERVIEW Our ACT Government client is currently seeking an experienced Administrative Services Officer to join their team at the ASO6 level. Within this role you will provide operational and administrative support to the Cleaning Services Manager, ensuring seamless delivery of cleaning services. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Support the Cleaning Services Manager in managing day-to-day cleaning operations across campuses. Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of cleaning staff. Ensure cleaning schedules meet, resources, and equipment meet operational needs. Implement and monitor flexible and responsive rostering systems. Share relevant documentation and reports with the team and stakeholders. Assist in creating and reviewing operational reports, including performance, compliance, and sustainability metrics. Coordinate procurement and management of cleaning equipment and supplies. Ensure adherence to work health and safety (WHS) regulations, environmental policies, and cleaning standards. EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS Certificate III or higher in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (Desirable). Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software. Demonstrated experience in cleaning operations or facilities management, with knowledge of best practices in cleaning techniques and sustainable cleaning practices. Cleaning Operations Qualifications are desirable. Work, Health and Safety Qualifications are desirable. Basic understanding of common issues faced by cleaning staff, including: Work health and safety (WHS) requirements, discrimination and bullying in the workplace, industrial relations, including the rights and roles of union delegates, and dispute resolution processes.
