Senior Systems Administrator Building Commission NSW Grade: 9/10 Salary Range: $125,693 - $138,510 Location: Parramatta, other locations considered, in office presence required Term: Temporary until 30 June 2025 Due to the Christmas break Interviews will be scheduled for January 2025 About the Building Commission NSW The new Building Commission NSW has been established after the NSW Government recognised the substantial progress made by Fair Trading and the Office of the Building Commissioner in delivering once-in-a-generation reforms of the building and construction industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the next phase of the Building Commission within NSW. https://www.nsw.gov.au/housing-and-construction/building-commissioner Responsibilities include: - Provide technical and business administration and leadership to customers on products, systems and configuration, complying with established policies and procedures - Perform system monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting and escalating issues, including proactive problem resolution and complex problem analysis as necessary, to maintain system performance and security to meet user demand - Reduce operational risk and improve availability of the server infrastructure by ensuring system access, monitoring, control, evaluation, recovery and documentation practices are planned, maintained and adhered to - Develop, maintain and perform operational procedures and ensure operational tasks are performed reliably and consistently to reduce the risk of unplanned outages - Collect and analyse operational data (especially incident and change records) to identify emerging trends and log problem records to assist with problem resolution and increased server availability - Provide advice and technical support to support client business needs and requirements and to ensure optimal service delivery To be successful in this role you will have: - Demonstrated Systems Administration experience. - Strong Salesforce experience with solving business problems by customizing the Salesforce Platform. Build, configure, and automate technology solutions to deliver business value. - Demonstrated ability of working with stakeholders to define system requirements and customize the Platform. - Preferably some experience working with Pega, Amanda & JIRA Key Accountabilities: - Responsible for overseeing system installations and evaluating new server hardware and software. The Senior Systems Administrator monitors and maintains the organisation’s technology servers, cloud computing and software to ensure continuity of service. - The role also oversees a range of lifecycle activities to provide a reliable, accessible, and compliant services to the organisation. - Managing the provision of proactive and reactive support, while ensuring strategic and tactical objectives are aligned - Ensuring required controls are adhered to without compromising responsiveness and availability - Building and maintaining effective working relationships with a diverse range of clients, stakeholders, and other system administrators within the organisation in an environment experiencing constant administrative and operational change.
