Data Engineer job opportunity with a well-known public sector client based in Perth Your new company Our client, a well-known public sector organisation located in Perth, is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract basis, with a potential start date in mid-January 2025. Your new role As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing to the design, implementation and maintenance of data platforms, including data warehousing, data storage, data pipelines and ETL/ ELT concepts, supporting the delivery of robust complex data management solutions in an innovative, efficient and effective manner. What you'll need to succeed Experience in Python and/or R programming languages. Some experience with the Databricks platform would be advantageous. Experience dealing with databases and database structures Experience with data visualisation concepts. Good communication skills and ability to produce quality documentation. Experience with JIRA and GIT (Bitbucket) What you'll get in return You will receive an hourly rate of $67Super. This is a 6-month contract role.
