Job Description Seeking a Lead Content Designer with familiarity with the Government's Digital Experience Policy, including the Digital Service Standard The department is seeking to engage a Content Designer to assist in the delivery of Website Refresh Implementation. Key duties and responsibilities Key requirements of the successful candidate must have (mandatory): Proven experience as a content designer or similar role. Excellent command of the English language. Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors. Familiarity with the Government's Digital Experience Policy, including the Digital Service Standard. Familiarity with SEO best practices, accessibility and web content guidelines. Ability to work under tight deadlines. Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and editing software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Bachelor's degree in Design, Journalism, Communications, or related field (preferred). Responsibilities: Conduct research to understand user needs and co-design the future state content strategy & governance. Edit and proofread content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency, and accessibility. Ensure all content aligns with the organisation's style guide and brand voice. Collaborate with writers and other team members to improve content quality & user-centred focus. Manage content calendars and ensure timely delivery of materials. Optimise content for SEO and digital platforms. Review and approve final content before publication. Provide feedback and training to writers as needed. The following additional skills would be of benefit: Information Architecture experience Responsibilities Planning and Designing the structure of digital content - organising content into categories, create site maps, and design navigation systems to guide users to the information they need. Planning and running user testing to evaluate the effectiveness of an improved information architecture Essential criteria 1. Please provide a CV only. No selection criteria required.
