Townsville Grammar School is one of the original Grammar Schools of Queensland. The Year 7-12 campus is located on the original site at North Ward. The School also operates two Junior School campuses, both offering Pre-Prep to Year 6, at Annandale and North Shore. We have an opportunity at our Annandale campus for an experienced Prep Teacher Aide to commence in Term 1 2025. This position is offered on a term-time only basis. The Prep Teacher Aide duties includes working with individual students and small groups in the classroom with a focus of literacy and numeracy, providing assistance to students with disabilities or learning difficulties and assisting in the supervision of educational activities under the direction of a teacher. To be successful in this role, you will require: The ability to work with children with a wide variety of needs. Good communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to maintain confidentiality. Minimum Certificate III in Education Support or other relevant qualification (highly desirable). Proficiency in the use of common computer software. Valid Working with Children Paid Employee Blue Card (mandatory prior to commencement). Eligibility to work in Australia (mandatory). Senior First Aid certificate (highly desirable).
