The Role The Sales Engineer will lead the sales efforts for utility-scale BESS, engaging with clients to understand their energy storage needs and provide tailored, technical solutions. You will present BESS technology through technical demonstrations, work closely with internal teams to ensure project specifications align with client requirements, and deliver proposals that drive sales. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute sales strategies for utility-scale BESS projects in Australia. Engage with clients to assess their energy storage needs and offer customised solutions. Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations of BESS technology to prospective customers. Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure project specifications and expectations are aligned. Prepare and deliver detailed proposals, quotations, and presentations to clients. Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling. Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements in energy storage. Provide feedback to internal teams on client insights and market demands. Skills and Experience Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy management, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in sales, specifically in utility-scale energy solutions or BESS. Track Record: Proven success in achieving sales targets within a technical sales environment. Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of energy storage technologies, particularly battery systems. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence clients.
