Food and Beverage Accelerator Program : Based in the Queensland Alliance for Agriculture and Food Innovation (QAAFI) Full-time (100%), fixed-term position through to 31 December 2026 Base salary will be in the range $73,072.86 - $77,476.66 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 4) Based at our vibrant St Lucia Campus About This Opportunity We are seeking an organised Administration Assistant to support the effective and efficient operation of the Impact Foundry component of Australia’s Food and Beverage Accelerator (FaBA)’s Innovation Pathways. The Innovation Pathways stream of FaBA has professorial leads for its two components. You will be reporting to Professor Damian Hine from the Queensland Alliance for Agriculture and Food Innovation (QAAFI), who leads the Impact Foundry and is deputy-lead for Innovation Pathways. You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of administrative and engagement processes in support of FaBA outcomes, especially with our food and beverage cluster and network associates. This role requires regular intrastate and interstate travel to work with the clusters (including networks and associations) around Australia. For certain periods of time, you will be embedded at one of the clusters with whom FaBA is collaborating. The remainder of the time you will be based at St Lucia in the QAAFI offices in UQ’s Queensland Biosciences Precinct. Key responsibilities will include: Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to maintain relationships that support the operational outcomes for the Impact Foundry team Providing close support for the Impact Foundry’s Support Facilitator and the FaBA Training Centre’s Makerspace Industry Liaison Manager Working with food and beverage clusters to reduce the administrative burden of their engagement with FaBA Maintaining clear and open communication between the FaBA team and cluster management. Supporting the administration of diagnostic surveys, feedback surveys and other data gathering instruments Undertaking data entry, retrieval, and document management processes Aggregating survey and feedback data and providing data in readable format to FaBA data analysts Working closely with the cluster entities to facilitate engagement by their members, including enrolment in workshops, webinars, and other engagement activities Working with the Impact Foundry Administration Officer to coordinate the scheduling and event management of meetings, workshops, webinars and other FaBA-hosted cluster events Communicating with and providing administrative support to the Impact Foundry team and wider Innovation Pathways team, Training Centre team and wider FaBA team as required Competently utilising a range of desktop-based programs and management information systems to assist the smooth delivery of our suite of offerings This role is subject to The University’s Code of Conduct . A degree or diploma with subsequent relevant experience or secretarial administrative experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education training Demonstrated skills in providing a high level of customer service, including effective interpersonal skills Demonstrated high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) Effective organisational, time management and problem-solving skills Experience working as a team member in a busy environment.
