Description DIRECTORATE: Business, Growth & Community CLASSIFICATION: Grade B SALARY: $37.72 to $43.76 per hour 11.5% employer contribution to superannuation (Includes 25% loading in lieu of all leave entitlements) REPORTING TO: Coordinator North Albury OOSH EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Casual THE POSITION: To safely transport children enrolled at Out of School Hours programs (OOSH) and Banjora Children's' Centre Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: To provide a safe and reliable transport service for the children utilising AlburyCity's Children's Services. To work in an efficient and effective manner with all clients and staff. To implement the OOSH Bus Guidelines. Observe requirements of RTA and driver authority. To prepare the bus for collection of children in regard to installing booster and car seats and fuelling of bus Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor which are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence and training. Qualifications KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Internal Our people External Our community EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: Based on a 38 hour week, working on a casual basis, with actual days and times to be negotiated with the supervisor, with no RDO. This position requires evidence of vaccination against the following infectious diseases: Pertussis (Whooping Cough) Measles, Mumps & Rubella (MMR) Varicella (Chicken Pox) This position requires you to wear a compulsory uniform as per AlburyCity’s Our People Dress Code Standards. Our People are required to present a smart and professional image to the public at all times including when in public and when working remotely. This position involves working both indoor and outdoor, along with computer work. The position requires a moderate level of aerobic and physical fitness to undertake regular physical activities such as walking, lifting, pulling, pushing along with the capacity to maintain normal manual handling tasks across the work day - depending on the nature of the tasks undertaken. Appropriate WHS standards will be applied for all manual handing activity. A full functional and medical assessment is required for this position. This position requires a current NSW Working with Children Clearance. This position requires evidence of a current Australian National Police Check. This position is subject to alcohol and other drug testing. This position is located across AlburyCity's Children's Services Programs as determined by the Team Leader and having regard to service demand with frequent visits to external sites/depots and AlburyCity Administration Building as required. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: Light Rigid (LR) Driver's Licence (compulsory to have and maintain) NSW Working with Children Clearance. DESIRABLE CRITERIA: Training and experience in installing booster and car seats. Current First Aid Certificate EXPERIENCE Relevant light rigid bus driving experience Exposure to children and strong ability to relate well to children. SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Sound knowledge of the operations of a passenger vehicle Strong understanding of NSW and Victorian road rules High level driving skills
