Government Organisation seeking a Cleaning Supervisor/Team Leader to oversee operations across multiple locations Administrative Services Officer | 12 Month Contract | $63.88 - $67 per hour super 12 Month Contract starting in January 2025 $63.88 - $67 per hour super Reid, Canberra (Hybrid/WFH) The Cleaning Supervisor/Team Leader plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality cleaning services across multiple locations for a government organisation. This position combines operational oversight, administrative support, and team leadership to maintain safe, clean, and sustainable environments. A key focus will be preparing a new location for operations in 2025 while overseeing existing cleaning services and supporting the potential transition to a fully insourced cleaning model by the end of that year. Key accountabilities include: Supervising daily cleaning operations across multiple sites, ensuring schedules, resources, and equipment align with operational needs. Supporting the recruitment, onboarding, and training of cleaning staff, including establishing a new in-house cleaning team. Managing procurement and inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. Preparing and reviewing operational reports, including performance, compliance, and sustainability metrics. Implementing flexible rostering systems to meet service delivery requirements. Ensuring compliance with WHS regulations, environmental standards, and cleaning protocols. Promoting and implementing sustainable cleaning practices aligned with government policies. Leading and supporting a diverse cleaning team, fostering collaboration, and building positive relationships with stakeholders. About You To excel in this role, you will ideally have demonstrated experience in cleaning operations or facilities management, with expertise in best practices and sustainable cleaning methods. Strong administrative and organisational skills, along with the ability to manage compliance and resource allocation, are essential. Key skills and qualifications include: Experience in creating and managing responsive rostering systems. Knowledge of WHS regulations, workplace diversity, and industrial relations processes. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse workforce. A current driver’s license and the ability to obtain necessary clearances, including working with vulnerable people and police checks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software. Desired skills include: Certificate III or higher in Business Administration, Management, or Cleaning Operations. First Aid or WHS qualifications. Experience leading teams in complex and fast-paced environments.
