Legal Office Manager | Brisbane CBD | Boutique Criminal Law Firm | Up to $120,000 package Our client, a boutique criminal law firm located in Brisbane City, is seeking an experienced Legal Office Manager with strong finance expertise and a passion for operational excellence. This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit team of six in a progressive and growing practice. About the Firm Established close to six years ago, the firm specialises in criminal law and professional misconduct matters. Led by the Founder and Practice Director with over 20 years of experience in the Queensland legal system, the firm is highly regarded for its expertise and client-focused approach. The Role As the Office Manager , you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the practice. This position requires a strong focus on finance and office management. Key responsibilities include: Financial Administration Payroll Receipting Accounts Receivable and Payable Bank Reconciliations Cash flow – minimal Monthly and Weekly reporting BAS and PAYG returns Trust Accounting-Audits and QLS reporting Human Resources Support Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and staff training processes. Maintain employee records and support compliance with workplace regulations. Foster a positive workplace culture through effective communication. Office and Operations Management Oversee daily office operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. Coordinate the maintenance of office technology, software, and equipment. Implement and monitor systems to enhance operational efficiency. Client and Stakeholder Coordination Ensure a high standard of client service by addressing client inquiries and managing feedback. Maintain relationships with vendors and service providers to support the firm’s operations. General Administrative Duties Supervise administrative functions, including scheduling, filing, and supply management. Organise travel bookings when required. Support the team with ad hoc tasks and office needs as required. Key Skills and Attributes Strong organisational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Experience with management software and tools (e.g., LEAP, XERO or similar). Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively. A proactive and solution-focused mindset. Experience with Trust Accounting in a Legal environment. Qualifications and Experience Proven experience minimum 2 years in a similar role within a legal environment. Familiarity with financial administration and basic HR processes.
