This leading College is seeking a qualified and compassionate teacher who has experience Learning Support to commence a full-time ongoing role in Term 1 2025 Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Learning Support Committee to identify and track students with disabilities, in line with the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD). Develop and update Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students listed in the NCCD. Organise and facilitate meetings with parents and the Learning Support Committee to discuss IEP progress. Oversee the coordination and scheduling of Education Support Officers to meet student needs. Regularly monitor lesson plans and teaching strategies to ensure appropriate learning adjustments for students with disabilities. Conduct classroom observations and provide ongoing support to teaching staff. Provide regular progress reports to leadership, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and involved. Essential Criteria: Registered teacher with VIT A Bachelor of Education with a postgraduate qualification in Special Education is preferred but not essential. Strong understanding of child safety principles, with a commitment to maintaining a child-safe environment Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, students, and parents. Proven ability to plan, organise, and manage multiple tasks while adapting to changing circumstances. Respect, understanding or alignment with the ethos of the Christian faith Additional Skills & Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to supporting students from diverse backgrounds, including children with disabilities. Ability to work collaboratively within a team, contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture. Commitment to ongoing professional development, including mandatory training in Child Safety and Mandatory Reporting.
