An initial 6-month contract for a Network Engineer for a large scale organisation based in Adelaide Your new company This organisation consists of three prominent Australian tourism brands, including a network of tourism sites and other programs. With a workforce of over 2,200 employees across the country, the group operates more than 300 sites, 85 of which are fully owned and managed. Your new role This position is part of the Sites and Corporate Technology team, focusing on the support, maintenance, and monitoring of the ICT network across sites. Main Objectives Include: Actively contribute to the design and implementation of the network. Provide support, configuration, and monitoring for wide and local area network solutions. Design, implement, and enhance network solutions for sites. Develop comprehensive documentation that meets standards. Understand site development projects to create high-level and low-level designs, including network and infrastructure designs, planned configurations, and effort estimations. Build effective working relationships with peers and third-party suppliers. Maintain a strong customer service ethic. Duties & Responsibilities: Support network equipment such as routers, access points, switches, and WAN accelerators. Prepare ICT rollout and upgrade plans in line with the strategic development plan. Participate in site development projects and testing to ensure effective technical design. Investigate network faults. Schedule upgrades and patch network devices to the latest firmware versions. Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve alerts, events, and incidents within agreed timeframes. Research, develop, and document technical design specifications. Plan, develop, organize, write, and edit operational procedures and manuals. Create product manuals with screenshots and tutorials. Write documentation for cross-functional teams and users. Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor. What you'll need to succeed Minimum Requirements: A tertiary qualification in a relevant IT field or equivalent skills, knowledge, and experience (mandatory). Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification (preferred). Evidence of ongoing professional development (preferred). Experience: At least one year of experience in managing and administering network solutions and devices. At least one year of experience in managing WiFi networks, preferably Meraki Personal Qualities: Enthusiastic, committed, and energetic team member with a positive outlook. Ability to work independently. Creative thinking skills. Effective communication with people from diverse backgrounds. Strong planning and organizational skills with excellent work ethics.
