The Royal Australian Mint distributes collector and investment coins to authorised wholesale distributors in accordance with wholesale agreements. The International Sales Manager oversees these arrangements and works with authorised wholesale distributors to ensure orders are processed in accordance with Mint policies and procedures. They are also responsible for overseeing the management of investment and custom minting coin projects and programs by the Custom Product Development Officer. The International Sales Manager manages the sale of product allocations as directed by the Head of Sales. The International Sales Manager builds and maintains productive working relationships with authorised wholesale distributors by sharing information about product releases and responding to feedback from the distributors. They also manage stock allocation within set Mint parameters and identify opportunities to effectively manage unallocated stock. The International Sales Manager forecasts sales for new products by analysing past sales and applying their understanding of relevant market forces and demand for specific products to ensure forecasts are sound. The International Sales Manager supports their team (of up to three direct reports) to ensure that deadlines are met and tasks are completed to a high standard. The key duties of the position include Managing the distribution of products across the international authorised distributor network, including temporary distributors and corporate partners, in line with wholesale agreements. This includes: Managing the end-to-end process for international distributor orders with a high-level of accuracy including managing allocations, processing product orders and issuing notifications; Developing and maintaining relationships with authorised wholesale distributors, including account management, providing timely and accurate information about product releases, providing stock allocation updates, and responding to or escalating feedback as required. Developing and fostering international custom numismatic and investment programs including an ongoing pipeline, to grow the Mint's international market share. This includes researching and analysing data, and applying an understanding of drivers of market demand and current market trends. Providing market and customer insights to support the development of other product programs, including product positioning, packaging, pricing, mintages and forecasting. Researching, analysing and reporting on precious metal and numismatic pricing, trends and competition nationally and internationally. Overseeing the Custom Product Development Officer in their management of custom minting programs, including idea inception, pitching to clients, costing and price negotiations, and contract and project management. Travelling internationally to represent the Mint at trade events and functions. Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and policies relating to pricing, permits, licences and taxation, market restrictions, anti-money laundering, counterterrorism and theft. Supporting the Sales team and Sales Marketing and Innovation Branch as required.
