Fixed-term full-time opportunity until December 2025 Join a leading medical college Opportunity to work in a hybrid environment About the Role The Digital Experience Team optimises the RACP’s online presence through best-practice digital content design and digital product solutions. This role is one of 3 Digital Experience Designers. Designers are responsible for editing and structuring useful, consistent, high-quality digital content for RACP members across key online services. A critical function of this role is collaborating with internal stakeholders to cultivate good working relationships and to embed human-centred design thinking. Responsibilities Include: Apply specialist digital skills to support the team vision of providing a unified, consistent and high-quality digital experience for members and staff through the development of digital content Manage daily web requests in a timely manner and ensure the corporate website content is up-to-date and fit for purpose Continually optimise and review website content and interactive tools to ensure they meet brand, style and digital best practice Translate complex ideas into plain English for online audiences Ensure content requests are handled in a timely manner, appropriately designed and meet business objectives and user needs Create wireframes, prototypes, sketches and flow diagrams to map out user needs, and work as the digital lead with business owners and IT to bring the final iteration to fruition Conduct user research such as interviews, observation studies and usability testing Regularly review website content, structure, and functionality to ensure it’s accurate, consistent, current and relevant Desired Skills and Experience The successful candidate will have: Degree qualified in a humanities discipline or demonstrated experience in digital content design Experience in web content management Previous experience with sourcing, writing and developing digital content Understanding and experience using digital analytics tools to produce actionable insights Content development, editing and managing revision rounds and migration Internal stakeholder management and relationship building experience Ability to understand and contribute to business requirements and translate them into technical design Understanding W3C standards for web content design, WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and inclusive design Proficient in using HTML for digital content publishing Ability to use digital tools to develop wireframes and interactive prototypes that are clear and demonstrate the user journey Please send your resume and short cover letter by clicking "Apply" by COB 23 December 2024.
