Our NSW Government client is hiring for a highly capable Graphic Designer to join the organisation. The successful candidate will have a strong background in document accessibility and proficiency in graphic design software. The designer will ensure all documents meet accessibility standards and adhere to the guidelines defined in the NSW Government Brand Framework, while working closely with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality, accessible content on time. Role Title: Graphic Designer Contract Length: From the 08/01/2025 to 06/06/2025. Daily Pay: $450 - $650 Super per day. Location: Parramatta, (2150). Office /WFH hybrid. Key Accountabilities: Document Design & Accessibility: Create, modify, and redesign documents, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0), and make all documents accessible. Assess documents to confirm whether they meet accessibility standards or brand compliance in current form. Software Expertise: Utilise high-level InDesign and Acrobat Pro skills to produce and refine documents as per NSW Government specifications. Brand Consistency: Ensure all design outputs align with NSW Government branding and style guidelines. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with multiple stakeholders and content owners, maintaining open communication to address design needs and feedback. Time Management: Manage a consistent workflow and meet project deadlines, coordinating effectively to ensure timely delivery. Ability and willingness to mentor internal employees in upskilling 'accessibility capability' and at the same time meet project deadlines. Knowledge and Experience: Demonstrated experience in graphic design with a proven ability to create accessible documents from scratch, and modifying existing documents, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards independently. The candidate must possess a thorough understanding of the processes required to make documents accessible, including knowledge of accessibility checks, without relying on additional upskilling support. Advanced proficiency in InDesign and Acrobat Pro. Thorough understanding and application of WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards. Demonstrated experience working within NSW Government branding guidelines (or similar strict branding frameworks). Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to coordinate multiple projects. Ability to maintain consistent workflow and deliver high-quality outputs within set timeframes. Previous experience in NSW Government or similar public sector environment is highly valued. Candidates must be based in or around the Greater Sydney Area and willing to travel to Parramatta.
