About the Role: COFA is seeking an experienced and dedicated Mechanical Engineer Production Machinist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be expected to deliver high-quality work with meticulous attention to detail. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the production of cutting-edge ceramic products that support scientific and industrial applications. Key Responsibilities: Production Support : Be involved in all aspects of production, from start to finish, ensuring processes are followed accurately. Process Compliance : Adhere to ISO9001:2015 production processes and contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and addressing process non-conformance issues. Training and Development : Undertake training as required to enhance skills and knowledge related to the role and production processes. Process Improvement : Assist in reviewing and implementing improvements to the production processes in line with non-conformance. Collaboration : Work closely with the production team to support the migration of research into production. Skills and Qualifications: Completion of Year 12 or equivalent education. Certificate III in Machine Shop Practices or a similar qualification. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Sound computer skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions. Attention to detail and a strong aptitude for independent work. Enjoy working as part of a dedicated team. Highly regarded : Experience with SolidWorks modelling, CAD/CAM systems, and CNC machine operation. Key Attributes: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to make logical, timely decisions. Excellent organisational skills, including prioritizing and managing multiple tasks effectively. High mechanical aptitude and ability to solve practical problems. Demonstrated commitment to quality and meeting production goals. A proactive approach to professional development and personal growth.
