Based at our St Lucia campus About This Opportunity As the Principal Administration Coordinator, you will provide critical administrative and operational support to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Engagement). This diverse role requires strong organizational and communication skills to manage a variety of tasks, from coordinating meetings and events to supporting strategic initiatives. You will work closely with senior staff and external organizations, requiring excellent judgment and diplomacy. Key responsibilities will include: Executive Support and Administration Provide high-level administrative support to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Engagement). Undertake research, prepare reports, and manage HR tasks. Implement best practice systems and procedures for efficient office operations. Stakeholder Engagement and Project Management Support the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Alumni Reference Group. Represent the ODVCIE at alumni and engagement events. Manage special projects and coordinate committee meetings. Manage Summer/Winter Research Projects, including participant support and financial management. Health, Safety, and Wellness Serve as the Workplace Health and Safety Coordinator, overseeing compliance, risk assessments, and incident reporting. This is a part-time position and flexible working arrangements may be negotiated. About You Extensive experience in a related field. Strong understanding of the University's policies, procedures, and governance structures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize a diverse workload. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
