Job Description About the Position: The Records Administration Officer will be responsible for: Assist in provision of effective records management for the Shire of Broome Provide general records administrative duties including data entry, photocopying, scanning, filing, barcoding and recording Collecting, opening, sorting, recording and distributing incoming hardcopy correspondence Process file loans and returns and physically retrieving or re-shelving hard copy files to relevant storage locations including upstairs archives Assist in implementation of the GDA for disposal of records, Freedom of Information requests, and project or research work under the direction of the Records Coordinator and the Manager of Information Services Undertake any other duties from time to time, as directed by the Records Coordinator and/or the Manager of Information Services Be an active participant in the professional, customer focused Records Services Team, providing reliable, timely and appropriate resolution to customer enquiries, while remaining committed to the core values of the Shire of Broome A full position description can be found here: Records Administration Officer - Position Description The Records Administration Officer will be based at the Shire of Broome Administration Office, work hours Monday - Friday. This position will be contracted until 7 February, with flexibility for either full or part-time. About You: Our ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively work independently and within a team environment, will possess well developed computer literacy skills and strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Well-developed time management and organization skills and experience working in an office administration environment.
