The Role As a TAFE Teacher in fashion team, you have the opportunity to influence the careers of future industry persons by sharing your extensive industry knowledge to students in a classroom or other educational setting. We have an exciting permanent part-time (0.5FTE) Educational Team Leader role available to join our Faculty of Creative Arts and Digital Design team at TAFE Queensland's South Bank Campus. This position reports to the Group Discipline Manager. Salary The salary range for a Educational Team Leader is $112,810.07 - $120,720.08 (gross) per annum pro rata 0.5FTE, depending on educational qualifications held and teaching experience. Benefits Five (5) weeks pro rata Non-Attendance Time programmed annually for preparation Flexible work options (e.g. Purchased leave, compressed hours, telecommuting) 12.75% Superannuation and Salary packaging options available Professional development, study assistance and support to return to industry for currency and competency purposes Wellbeing initiatives and social responsibility programs Access to Employee Assistance Program Mandatory Requirements Applicants must possess the following: Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed; MST20722 – Certificate II in Apparel, Fashion and Textiles MST30122 – Certificate III in Apparel, Fashion and Textiles MST50122 – Diploma of Apparel, Fashion and Textiles current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided; current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided; evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment; Additionally, to become a TAFE Teacher, you must hold one of the following training and assessment credentials: TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor; or TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; plus: TAELLN411 or its successor or TAELLN401A; and TAEASS502 or its successor or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B; or A credential issued by a higher education provider which would enable the individual to satisfy the academic requirements for registration as a secondary school teacher and one (1) of the following credentials: TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor, or TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor; or TAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set; or A diploma or higher-level qualification in adult or vocational education (approved by TAFE Queensland). Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview. Highly Desirable It would be highly desirable, but not essential, that an Educational Team Leader possess: five (5) or more years teaching experience within TAFE Queensland, Vocational Education or another post-compulsory education experience; and an approved teaching qualification.
