You will take a proactive approach ensuring the hotel, internally and externally, is maintained to the highest of standards. Some duties include: Address technical support services quickly to ensure positive contribution to guest satisfaction Manage, coach and support the engineering team to ensure they are motivated and driven Provide advice to senior management within the hotel on all aspects of engineering support including environmental controls, operational and technical efficiency and financial aspects Ensure all work is carried out and completed in a quick and timely manner to a high standard Ensure all work is in line with health and safety guidelines, statutory regulations and fire codes Closely monitor the condition of the physical property and equipment by conducting inspections ensuring maintenance is completed and the hotel is kept in good working order Champion the property preventative maintenance system and contribute and participate in the hotel’s quality assurance program About YOU You have 3 years (minimum) of previous experience as Chief Engineer within a hotel setting You have an Electrical or trade background (highly desirable) You are self-motivating and self-managing A strong communicator and have the skills to liaise with colleagues, contractors and management You have prior experience of managing a small team, building a great culture within your team and providing training, feedback and guidance Full Australian driving license is strongly preferred Full working rights required If you are someone with a passion for the hospitality industry we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity at Dorsett Melbourne.
