The College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Teacher to teach Senior Hospitality Practices and Junior Design Technology. Moreton Bay College was established in 1901 as a school for girls from P-12 and now supports an enrolment in excess of 1100 students. THE POSITION All teachers are appointed by the CEO and Executive Principal of MBC and MBBC and they are responsible to him for the over-all performance of their duties. The CEO and Executive Principal delegates his authority to senior staff members for the effective management of the College. This role will report directly to the Head of Department - Technologies. The College offers a very broad program in sporting, musical and pastoral activities. Staff are expected, therefore, to participate in the co-curricular program and pastoral life of the College. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Minimum: Education Diploma or Education Degree in relevant curriculum area. Should preferably have experience teaching in Queensland schools or an understanding of the Queensland system. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must be registered with the Queensland College of Teachers. WORK ENVIRONMENT Each teacher is resourced with a desk, computer and shared preparation room. CONDITIONS AND SALARY This is a permanent full-time position with salary to be negotiated on appointment as per the Moreton Bay College Enterprise Agreement. The College operates a 2 week cycle. Sick Leave entitlement of 10 days annually. Long Service Leave entitlement of 1.3 weeks for each year of service, which can be taken after 7 years. The College contributes superannuation on behalf of the employee.
