About The Job Salvos Stores are looking for a talented Full Time Sales Assistant at our CHELTENHAM store who loves retail, loves a challenge, and loves waking up each day with a passion for making a difference. Support the Store Manager with the day to day operations and provide an inspiring in-store experience for our team, customers and community members. Cheltenham is one of our largest and busiest stores , processing a large quantity of donations on a daily basis in our production area and serving a large volume of customers each day . We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast paced retail environment ,enjoys taking on a variety of tasks on daily basis , can work independently and ready to work in a collaborative team environment to make a difference for the community and the environment. You will assist with: Collect, sort and price donations in store Complete the sale of goods Assist in the development and coordination of visual merchandising and store presentation Follow policy & procedures for Customer Service Sort and price stock as per store procedure, ensuring manual handling procedures are followed Place new/fresh stock in store and place price stickers on purchased goods Display stock in correct departments, following policy and procedure Follow Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures Demonstrate TSA core values in all work related activities About You Previous experience in retail sales, while highly regarded, is not essential. What is essential is your passion and proven ability to deliver outstanding results in a complex and rewarding retail environment. You will be a high energy, hands-on individual and will bring your proven track record in providing extraordinary customer service to the role. Importantly, as someone known for your integrity, you will also be comfortable aligning to The Salvation Army Mission and Values to positively support and impact the lives of others through your career contribution. To be successful in this role you will have flexibly to work a rolling roster including weekends and preparedness to work across various locations in the retail area.
