About You If you're nearing the end of your undergraduate or postgraduate journey in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering, we want to hear from you. Do you possess an interest in water, coupled with a drive to forge a sustainable future? Are you hungry for continuous learning, eager to collaborate with industry experts, and adept at both independent work and team dynamics? If so, you're exactly who we're looking for Prior industry exposure or relevant coursework, particularly in water-related fields, is a definite plus. Additionally, familiarity with mapping software such as QGIS and water modelling software like HEC-RAS, RORB, or TUFLOW will be considered favourably. The general role of this position includes: • Civil and water engineering design calculations • Hydrology and hydraulics calculations • Learning and applying various civil engineering modelling software packages and GIS • Undertaking technical project works including design and review of drawings, specifications, estimates and reports • A variety of civil design tasks relating of roads, drainage, dams, storm water, mining, development, flood studies, geotechnical • Developing project management skills and assistance with delivery and coordination of projects About You You are looking to be a part of and contribute to the growth and development of the organisation. We seek an undergraduate engineer with the following attributes: • Ideally in your third year Studying for a tertiary Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering degree or similar • Enthusiastic, motivated and able to work independently, with support from senior staff and colleagues • A high degree of computer literacy • Experience with various water and civil software packages will be looked upon favourably • Flexibility to ramp up and down with workloads depending on demand • Have exemplary communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate proactively with internal and external stakeholders. • Excellent teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to work in a united, collaborative environment whilst consistently displaying integrity, accountability, respect and honesty. • Willingness to embrace problem solving opportunities with lateral and creative thinking skills. • Great organization skills including demonstrated ability to set work priorities and meet deadlines. • Have an inclusive mindset with the willingness to value diversity of thought and support equity in the workplace.
