Medical Receptionist required full time for busy Townsville General Practice Full Time Medical Receptionist required for our busy Townsville GP Superclinic (General Practice). Applicants with previous Healthcare industry experience preferred, however hospitality Reception/Administration or customer service skills suit also. Monday to Friday (38 hours) predominately, with some flexibility requested to assist with after hours and weekend shifts at times (on rotation) in cases of leave and absences and to cover Practice opening hours (7 days per week). Days off in lieu for cover, when helping with evenings and/or weekends. During clinic opening hours - Mon and Fri 7.30am to 6pm Tues, Wed and Thurs 7.30am to 9.30pm Saturday 8am to 6.30pm Sunday 8am to 2.30pm Duties include, but are not limited to: Answering incoming calls, busy switchboard and professional emails Scheduling appointments and managing multiple diaries on a software system Friendly meet and greet of patients General cleaning and upkeep of practice areas, following strict infection control requirements including clinic bathrooms, stock take and daily restocking of supplies Willingness to learn, take direction and follow procedures Screening of entering patients, in compliance with current guidelines Assisting with patient enquiries, delays and rescheduling, both over the phone and in person, including challenging situations at times Filing, scanning, copying Providing support / assistance to our healthcare professionals The successful applicant must also have: Exceptional customer service skills, with a polite manner, and empathic nature Enjoy a fast paced environment Ability to remain calm under pressure, with a positive and enthusiastic approach Demonstrate outstanding organisational / time management skills, with the ability to multi-task A commitment to on-the-job training and ongoing learning and development Take pride in their written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail Willing to take direction and work collaboratively as part of a Team Intermediate computer knowledge/skills The ability to show empathy towards others and a general desire to assist patients, co-workers and professionals Must have current driver licence for errands (automatic work car) Australian citizenship or permanent residency essential For applications, please send your CV and cover letter by email ONLY SHORTLISTED APPLICANTS WILL BE CONTACTED Expected start: As soon as possible
