Your Role at St John of God Geelong Hospital You will be responsible for efficiently delivering a broad range of clerical duties, using established processes to ensure excellent customer service and admission procedures. You will assist patients, visitors and general public with enquiries and directions, receive pre-admission forms, checking health insurance details and notifying patient of any extra charges they may incur. The Position To professionally and efficiently receive and direct incoming telephone calls To accurately and confidentially process patient information. To attend to customer and admission queries in an efficient and courteous manner. Liaise with doctors, receptionists and nursing staff in regard to documentation requirements. Maintain general tidiness of work environment. Demonstrates appropriate financial stewardship by effective and efficient use of supplies and time. Records any maintenance needs in the Maintenance book Participates in the achievement of the Department Operational Plan You will have a minimum 3 years' relevant experience, in frontline clerical/reception role, preferably in Patient Service. To succeed you will have a high level of computer proficiency, attention to detail and accuracy, excellent customer service, communication and organisational skills and be able to prioritise work requirements and work productively within a team environment. Dictation typing skills is highly regarded. Above all, customer service will be at the core of everything you do committing to and supporting our Mission and Values. We can offer you Salary : $57,859 to $ 59,522 per annum (pro rata for part time), plus 11.5 % superannuation Permanent Part time position, working up to 30hours a fortnight.
