Job Description KPMG's Tax division are looking for a highly talented Senior Payroll Officer to join our growing Payroll Outsourcing team on a full-time basis to be based in Sydney or Melbourne . You will be responsible for offering high quality end-to-end payroll processing and consulting services to a diverse group of local and international clients. Your Opportunity As a Senior Payroll Officer, you will work closely with the team to deliver end-to-end payroll processing and reporting services to a diverse group of local and international clients. Your role will include: Delivering and managing end-to-end payroll processing to a diverse group of local and international clients Supporting clients with compliance on payroll statutory obligations and reporting requirements Maintenance of client’s employee master data Responding to payroll-related inquiries ranging from employee queries to employer obligations Assisting on payroll consulting engagements to provide advice to clients on process improvements and how to optimise their payroll operations to achieve best practice payroll Work with senior team members to drive new levels of efficiency and innovative solutions that create value for clients Assist in business development activities In addition, you will have the opportunity to engage in complementary service lines such as employment taxes and financial reporting. You will build ongoing relationships with clients and seek out opportunities to enhance your skills. How are you extraordinary? Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Australian payroll regulations and processes. Good understanding of time and attendance systems is advantageous You are a people-person with a client -service mindset who seeks to proactively collaborate and consult across multiple capabilities. A strong problem solver that can work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision Your Experience Significant working knowledge of Australian payroll including relevant tax legislation, superannuation, statutory requirements, and awards and enterprise agreements At least 5 years’ experience processing end-to-end Australian payroll Experience in New Zealand payroll is also desired Previous experience in a payroll outsourcing environment Experience using large payroll systems such as Aurion or Chris21 Proficient in Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel skills to perform analytics Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines
