About the Opportunity We are seeking a motivated Civil Design Engineer to join our team, where you will play a crucial role in creating detailed, high quality civil designs for a variety of major infrastructure projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven engineer to contribute to impactful projects while growing within a dynamic team. We are open to candidates based in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. As a Civil Design Engineer, you will be responsible for: Carry out civils design work for infrastructure projects Show a desire for continued development and ability to undertake tasks that are outside of current expertise Interpret and understand the Project Scope and Technical Requirements Conduct detailed Civil design, calculations, reports and specifications including: early works, utilities and conduits, geotechnical general interpretation and earthworks analyses, alignment design, drainage, pavements, road/tunnel safety Communicate with and take direction from the Senior Engineer to ensure that line wide requirements are understood and incorporated into deliverables Follow line wide standards for design to ensure commonality is achieved across precincts Participate and contribute to peer review and multi-disciplinary review sessions for design assurance purposes Participate in safety in design workshops and actively implement outcomes Report progress and constraints to the Senior Engineer at regular intervals Consider constructability in all design outcomes and consult with relevant team members to ensure that design outcomes are constructible Follow digital engineering principles and project workflows/procedures for: front end design, detailing and submission Required Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering Minimum 5 - 10 years’ experience working on design of Civils for major infrastructure projects Working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards Experience in delivery of detailed design and documentation for a major infrastructure project Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team Experience and detailed Technical understanding of infrastructures projects, specifically: Early works, alignment design & earthworks, drainage, pavements, structures, fencing and road/tunnel safety Experience in production of project deliverables such as reports, specifications, drawings and technical papers Understanding of the design development process Ability to work to and report against the Project Schedule including Earned Value status reporting Understanding of the cost management process and reporting Understanding of value engineering vs cost procedure Dedication to “Safety in Design“ principles Additional Preferred Experience: Chartered Professional Engineer, CPEng (or similar) Previous design experience on Australian based major projects Previous relevant role for road or rail projects Experience with 12D and/or OpenRoads Design experience using BIM and digital engineering tools Understanding of constructability issues What we Offer: A positive team culture, flexible working arrangements, opportunities to be part of unique and transformative projects while learning from industry experts.
