Your role at St John of God Berwick You will be responsible for the delivery of efficient reception and administration functions at St John of God Berwick Hospital. This position will be assisting our Obstetrics & Gynaecology team, on a permanent part-time basis, working 30 hours per fortnight with the flexibility to cover leave. The Position : Reception duties including welcoming patients, answering phone calls and replying to phone and email queries. Timely and accurate scheduling of appointments, rescheduling and attendance. Ensuring pathology and imaging results are on file for appointments. Surgical bookings, including Informed Financial Consent. Collection of co-payments and health fund billing. Facilitating efficient admission and discharge services to patients. Ensure timely and accurate scheduling of Outpatient appointments, rescheduling and attendance. Collect payment for any excess, co-payment, out of pockets and exclusions owed through accurate billing of patients on discharge. Facilitating a high level of customer satisfaction. Accurate and thorough completion and signing of all relevant documentation Prepare Medical Record, ensure claim form prepared and signed, and all other appropriate documentation. You will have experience within a clerical, administration, reception, and/or switchboard environment, and demonstrate time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines. To succeed, you will have strong computer skills and, ideally, experience in using Gentu.
