Professional development opportunities with a defined personalised annual budget Access to flexible working arrangements, which include working from home arrangements You will work in a tight-knit, supportive team to ensure you succeed in your role YOUR ROLE The Legal Services Assistant role is a key enabler within the Legal Services function, supporting the achievement of customer service excellence and continuous improvement, through the provision of proactive problem solving and risk management; decisive action; and education & training to the business. WHAT YOU WILL DO Act as central point of contact for the Legal Services Function, to triage and submit new matters via the Matter Management System (MMS); Assist with data auditing in the Matter Management System (MMS) and generating data reports for a range of internal and external stakeholders, identifying and flagging trends and areas of potential risk; Assist in the development and improvement of training and resource materials; arranging for attendance at relevant events at which to present on legal topics; the development of new resources such as videos/vodcasts; Monitor and review the Continuous Improvement Register to ensure the team is consistently evolving and making progress; Assist in the development of meeting agendas, minutes, memos and correspondence in keeping with MACS policies, and communication style guidelines, Assist with accounts, including raising purchase orders and managing incoming tax invoices for payment. ABOUT YOU High degree of attention to detail and accuracy in file (paper and electronic) and office management Excellent ICT skills with strong competency in the use of Microsoft Office suite including the ability to create engaging presentations Exceptional written and verbal communication and listening skills, with a high degree of professionalism in email and telephone communications Strong capacity to establish and maintain positive working relationships within a team environment, and with stakeholders across levels both within and external to MACS. Consistent adherence to maintaining high-level confidentiality and appropriately handling sensitive data. Good awareness of privacy obligations, policy and procedure Strong ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders with significant experience in coordinating meetings for teams in a complex organisation Salary range for this position is $80452 (Level 3) - $86248 (Level 3) per annum exclusive of superannuation as specified in the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 and may include additional allowances dependent on qualifications and experience.
