About us: Building, Engineering and Maintenance Service (BEMS) offers in-house electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and horticultural service to ensure compliance through scheduled maintenance, providing 24-hour corrective services for local facilities. About the role: The primary duty and responsibility of this position is repairs and maintenance of all electrical equipment and assets within the jurisdiction of the Building, Engineering and Maintenance Service (BEMS) Department for the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. Ensure that all safe work practices are always adopted, and that protective clothing and equipment provided is worn and used as recommended including the implementation and enforcement of legislative requirements such as Workplace Health and Safety Act and the Health Services Act to safeguard the interests of Queensland Health and its employees. About you: The successful applicant must hold an Electrician Trade qualification and have a current Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic Licence. Ability to produce effective work output in terms of both quality and quantity without direct supervision. Demonstrate sound experience in and extensive knowledge of trade skills found within work environments like that in Health Facilities engineering maintenance and installation service organisations.
