The role We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our Sydney Corporate Funds M&A practice group on a full-time basis, working 5 days in the office. In this fast-paced role you will play a pivotal role in providing support to leading Partner Michael Vrisakis and a team of senior lawyers. Your day-to-day As a trusted member of the team, your day will be filled with a variety of tasks, including the sole ownership over Michael’s email inbox and calendar. Your day will also include: Monthly billing including debtor control (40 bills per month). Coaching and mentoring the team’s Administrative Assistant. Managing travel arrangements. Assisting with document preparation, including drafting and editing. High volume matter management, including file opening and closing. Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders by phone, email, and in-person. About you To be successful in this role you will have 5 years’ legal or professional services secretarial experience and will possess the below: Ability to anticipate Partner requirements. Extensive inbox and calendar management experience. Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities. Ability to operate with minimal instructions. Confidence in decision making. Previous billing experience (Experience with Aderant Expert) advantageous. Strong understanding of Microsoft Office. Ability to think on your feet and adapt to a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Please note, we are not open to considering students for this opportunity.
