Description KU Wickham, located in the picturesque harbour-side suburb of Wickham and just a stone's throw from the Newcastle CBD. Established over 70 years ago, KU Wickham was the first free Kindergarten in Newcastle. Our preschool operates from a historically significant Italianate building, originally constructed as Council Chambers in 1889. With thoughtful renovations in 2000, we’ve added a spacious playroom featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook our beautifully landscaped playground and the adjacent public park KU Wickham is situated on Crown Land dedicated to sport and recreation, surrounded by lush parklands, various sporting facilities, and a community garden. This unique setting offers a dynamic and inspiring environment for both children and educators. What We’re Looking For: Enthusiastic and committed educators passionate about early childhood education. Team players who thrive in a collaborative, supportive environment. Passion and dedication whilst promoting inclusion, equity and sustainability This role will see you working on Thursday and Friday. You would also have access to additional shifts/support hours or days through our KUCas team if interested. This is a contracted position until January 2026 so it’s a fantastic pathway into a longer-term career with KU.
