About the Role: Day-to-day support, maintenance, upgrade and security across the network infrastructure as well as being involved in Project and Change delivery related to network services to our financial services client. The role is a hybrid working role with flexible working arrangements with the expectation of being in the office 3 days a week, and there will be afterhours and on call responsibilities for this role. Responsibilities: Deliver expert technical support for network platforms and systems, effectively managing incidents, troubleshooting issues, and implementing changes. Lead the administration and maintenance of all network infrastructure, ensuring timely upgrades, security patching, and compliance. Spearhead the design and implementation of innovative network products and services. Analyze and resolve complex technical challenges across network infrastructure and services. Follow best practices in incident, problem, and change management protocols. Continuously expand technical expertise in network infrastructure and security domains. Integrate security best practices into all aspects of network infrastructure management. Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks to core networking systems and services. Drive process automation to streamline management of network infrastructure and services. Skills and Experience: Over 10 years of experience working across the Banking and Finance industry or in a similar role. Proven expertise in designing, deploying, managing, and troubleshooting WAN/LAN technologies. Extensive experience with firewall solutions, particularly Fortinet as an SME, and advanced configuration and issue resolution. In-depth experience with load balancers, specifically F5, for optimizing network performance. Advanced skills in designing, implementing, and managing IP Address Management (IPAM) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions. Hands-on experience with data center migrations, ensuring seamless transitions with minimal disruption. Proficient in scripting and automation using tools like PowerShell, Python, and Terraform to streamline network operations. Skilled in configuring and managing network monitoring tools, with a preference for SolarWinds. Experience with public cloud connectivity and integration.
