MSI Australia operates a network of 10 clinics, a national telemedicine service providing comprehensive termination of pregnancy, vasectomy services from 25 locations and national family planning support. Position title: Virtual Health/Telehealth Medical Administrative Assistant Location: MSI Australia, Gold Coast Reports to: Nurse Unit Manager Hours per week: 1 FTE, 76 Hours per fortnight. Required days: Monday - Friday Duration: 12-month fixed term, full time position The role: The Telehealth Medical Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting the client virtual health journey alongside a team of clinicians. You will be responsible for the day to day administration of the virtual health service for our clients accessing tele-abortion services and for providing a professional, empathetic and human point of contact for all clients accessing services in the clinic. You ensure that all clients are entered onto the client administration system and admitted as required to our clinic network, are assessed for their eligibility against government benefits and private health insurance, are invoiced correctly and are provided appropriate documentation to enable claiming. You will have high regard for the integrity of medical records, quality data and client confidentiality. You will also be an excellent communicator, have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to problem solve, attention to detail and computer competencies. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, Please note, this is not a remote role and will instead be joining our fantastic team of Nursing & Administrative staff based in Varsity Lakes. Your Responsibilities: Support our clients through their medical termination through ensuring that all aspects of obtaining their MS 2-Step Medication, this consists of the following steps: Preparing scripts, discharge letter and contents for the MS 2-Step package, ensuring patient consent has been obtained at this initial stage; Instructing the pharmacy of the client’s medication request; Tracking delivery for client’s receiving MS-2 Step medication from pharmacy to home address, liaising with clients, external providers and clinicians as required throughout this process. Respond to general requests for medical certificates for our telehealth clients Ensure all aspects of billing covered, allocating the funds to the relevant cost centre Work to ensure all Medicare rebating has been carried out; Send required follow up- letters to clients Liaise with external radiologists to ensure relevant ultrasounds have been obtained Ad-hoc checking of telehealth appointment details Occasional general administrative support for the telehealth team. Additional areas of work: Data entry into internal computer systems when medical records are archived Ensure client confidentiality of the highest standard is maintained at all times Attend training and complete mandatory competencies as required.
