Information Technology Services – Enterprise Applications Full-time, fixed-term position until March 2025 Base salary will be in the range $98,582 - $107,349 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 7) Based at our vibrant St Lucia campus About This Opportunity The primary function of the position is to provide a high level of support for information technology systems within ITS, client departments and organisations. The position may be responsible for supervising small teams. Key responsibilities will include: IT Systems & Project Management: Design, implement, maintain IT systems and infrastructure; lead significant projects, and evaluate new technologies, processes, and standards. Stakeholder Collaboration & Administration: Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and teams to coordinate system changes; perform administrative tasks, including business cases, planning, and budget support. Cyber Security & Team Development: Promote compliance with UQ’s Cyber Security Policy, mentor team members, and assist in strategic planning and staff development initiatives. Extensive experience in technical support for enterprise applications, middleware, and supporting infrastructure. Detailed knowledge of enterprise applications (e.g., PeopleSoft), web servers (e.g., WebLogic), and tools like Control-M and STAT. Proficiency in programming languages such as Perl, C, C++, or Shell. Proven experience in analysis, design, development, and maintenance of multi-user systems. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with a client-focused approach. Self-motivated, organised, and capable of working independently or in a team to achieve objectives. Desirable: Team leadership/project management experience and familiarity with Oracle databases and PeopleSoft.
