In an initial 3 month contract, you will be responsible for providing advice and making recommendations on traffic, transport and road safety issues. ABOUT THE COMPANY. Local Council offer 35 hours per week, 1-2 Work From Home days, flexible start and finish times and stability in contract roles with potential for extension or transition into a permanent role. ABOUT THE POSITION. As a Senior Traffic Engineer in an initial 3 month contract based in Northern Sydney, you will be responsible for assessing Development Applications in relation to traffic and dealing with complex traffic issues, including congestion, road safety and multimodal transportation whilst assisting with traffic and transport concepts. You will also have a knowledge of Parking management. DUTIES. Assess traffic impact of Development Applications Undertake investigation and preparation of report and estimates regarding traffic matters Providing advice to internal and external customers on traffic, transport and parking matters Ensuring that requests on traffic matters are processed promptly SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE. Degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering or relevant qualifications Relevant Civil project exposure such as roads, footpaths etc, demonstrated knowledge of NSW Road Rules Local Government experience is highly desirable Excellent written and verbal communication CULTURE.
