Full time position Hourly rate $29.70 14.5% super $6.73 per hour license allowance Supportive and inclusive team St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn (the Society) is currently recruiting Truck Drivers with a medium class rigid (MR) drivers’/Heavy Rigid (HR) license to support the Society’s warehouse at Mitchell in Canberra. Our Truck Drivers are a face of Vinnies within the community and support our business to ensure we can assist those that require a hand up. Mitchell warehouse is the central hub for the receipt, sorting and distribution for our retail centres and the storage of materials, furniture and goods used to support people in the community. In this position you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery and pick up of goods and donations to and from members of the community and retail stores across Canberra and Goulburn Region. Our Offer Full time position Base hourly rate $29.70 Skills and qualifications allowance of $6.73 per hour 14.5% Super Salary packaging option up to $15,900 per FBT year, with an additional Meals and Entertainment package available up to $2,650 per FBT year. Key Accountabilities Delivery and collection of donations and furniture to and from retail centres and customers, including disposal of unsaleable goods. Plan and complete all aspects of the day-to-day running of the vehicle including loading and unloading. Ensure allocated delivery and pick up runs are according to schedule and customer focused. Adhere to the Society’s WHS policies and procedures to ensure your safety and the safety of your team and all you work with in the delivery of service. Work collaboratively with volunteers and customers both internal and external to the Society in developing an inclusive work culture. We are looking for individuals who are driven and have a passion for warehousing and logistics. Someone who is safety focused and hands-on in their approach. This is a full-time position working Tuesday to Saturday (inclusive).
