About the role Due to ongoing business growth, we are currently seeking a Day Shift Supervisor for our Buchanan site, located approximately 40 minutes from Newcastle. In this role you will be involved in maintaining a safe and clean work environment while coordinating and supervising all day shift operations to meet productivity targets and quality standards. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies, training and motivating staff to enhance performance, and managing operational issues as they arise. You will also ensure that stock levels are monitored effectively, oversee warehouse and production functions, and collaborate with other supervisors to facilitate smooth shift transitions. This role is essential for ensuring efficient operations and fostering a productive team environment. What you’ll do Ensuring a safe and clean work environment is maintained. Coordinating and supervising all PM shift operations to ensure they meet productivity targets and quality standards. Ensuring that compliance with company policies and procedures are always met. Training, development, and motivation of all staff to improve performance and meet productivity objectives. Managing and resolving any operational issues or conflicts that may arise. Monitor stock levels and perform necessary stock reconciliations. Oversee Warehouse and Production functions and collaborate with Supervisors to ensure smooth handovers between shifts. About You Are you a proactive leader with a strong background in production and warehousing? Our ideal Day Shift Supervisor has at least 2-3 years of management or supervisory experience, with a solid understanding of production processes and warehouse operations. You thrive in fast-paced environments and have a background in FMCG, logistics, or construction raw material warehousing. Your ability to train and motivate a diverse team is essential, and you possess intermediate computer skills, including basic proficiency in Excel and Word. A solid understanding of OH&S is a must, and while formal education isn’t required, experience in food manufacturing and knowledge of HACCP principles would be a bonus. If you’re physically fit and ready to ensure a safe and efficient work environment, we want to hear from you What We’re Looking For Strong background in FMCG, logistics, or construction raw material warehousing, with a solid understanding of production processes and warehouse operations. Proven experience as a Shift Supervisor or similar role, with strong leadership skills to motivate and develop teams. Excellent prioritisation and delegation abilities, coupled with effective problem-solving skills and decision-making under pressure. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a keen attention to detail for accurate record-keeping. Highly organised, capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications. Knowledge of OH&S regulations and commitment to maintaining safety standards. Ideally, experience in food manufacturing and familiarity with HACCP principles and food safety practices.
