Project Engineer - Sydney Water Tendering Location: Sydney, NSW Industry: Water Infrastructure/Engineering Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team, specialising in tendering for Sydney Water projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water infrastructure, tender preparation, project management, and contract negotiations. You will be responsible for managing the technical and commercial aspects of tender submissions, ensuring compliance with client specifications, and contributing to the successful delivery of water-related infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate the preparation of tender submissions for Sydney Water projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client requirements. Develop detailed technical and commercial tender documents, including project schedules, cost estimates, risk assessments, and methodologies. Collaborate with internal teams (design, construction, procurement) to gather required information and ensure alignment with project objectives. Prepare detailed project proposals and presentations for clients, addressing technical challenges, timelines, and costs. Review and assess tender documents, identify potential risks, and propose solutions to ensure competitive and compliant submissions. Engage with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and subcontractors, to clarify project scope and requirements. Monitor project timelines and budgets during the tender phase, ensuring compliance with company standards and Sydney Water's specifications. Support the management of post-tender negotiations and contract finalisation. Key Requirements: A degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in project engineering and tendering for water infrastructure projects, particularly with Sydney Water. Strong knowledge of Sydney Water's standards, specifications, and tendering processes. Expertise in preparing cost estimates, risk assessments, and project schedules. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
