This pivotal role oversees the Graduate School’s service provision, ensuring responsive and professional support that fosters HDR success. Reporting to the Dean, you will serve as a key liaison with Directors of HDR (DHDRs) and School/Institute Managers, building strong relationships through ongoing communication. Your leadership will ensure that team members are attuned to the specific needs of their academic disciplines, actively collaborating with stakeholders to address any challenges in HDR program delivery. In this role, you will manage a team of HDR Liaison Officers, driving high-quality service culture, promoting productive working relationships, and supporting the monitoring and development of HDR candidates. By championing service excellence, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a supportive and successful HDR experience. Key responsibilities will include : Lead and manage a team of HDR Liaison Officers to ensure consistent, high-quality support and advice for HDR candidates and Directors of HDR. Build and maintain strong partnerships with DHDRs and School/Institute Managers to enhance HDR engagement and resolve program-related issues. Drive service improvements by identifying and implementing process enhancements, ensuring the team meets evolving needs and expectations. Facilitate a positive, collaborative team culture that supports HDR candidate progress, peer connections and academic development. Proven experience managing teams to achieve goals and fostering a culture of collaboration and collegiality. Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, sound judgement, and adapt to changes in the work environment. High level of technological literacy and a proven ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes as needed. Strong organisational and time management skills, with a capacity to set realistic priorities and meet deadlines.
