Moriah College is hiring for full time Teacher's Aides to join the Education Support team in the Primary School. These positions are term time only. Moriah College is a co-educational Early Learning - Year 12 Jewish Day School based in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. Commencing in Term 1 2025, Moriah College is looking for experienced and passionate individuals to join the Education Support team as a Teacher’s Aide in the Primary School. These positions will be appointed for a 12-month period during term time only, ending in the 2025 academic year with potential to be extended. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Work with children across from 5 – 12 years of age presenting with a range of educational needs. Assist students with high support needs in their learning program and life skills throughout the school day. Assist students in their transition around the school and in the classroom. Support student learning and encourage social integration both in and out of the classroom. Display discretion, confidentiality, honesty and integrity in relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the wider community. Meet the physical demand of the position which may include kneeling, stooping and lifting. Experience and Qualifications Required: Certificate III or IV in School Based Education Support desirable. At least 2 years’ experience working in a similar role in a school environment. Have the proven ability to support a diversity of learners under the supervision and direction of teachers. Experience in an education setting. Experience with behaviour management. Have demonstrated ability to work as part of a team. Be a service orientated individual who shows initiative. Show demonstrated computer skills, including basic word processing. Have excellent written and spoken English communication skills. Hold a current First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain.
