Why this role matters The Salvation Army Ararat Corps is a community-focused church, partnering with the wider community to help transform one life at a time with the love of Jesus. This role provides efficient clerical, administrative and operational support to the Ararat Corps including Stawell and Greater Grampians Salvos in order to enhance outcomes and support the achievement of The Salvation Army’s mission. About the role We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Administration Assistant to provide efficient clerical and administration support to the Corps with the purpose of enhancing the services to the community and supporting the mission of The Salvation Army. Reporting to the Corps Officer, this is a max-term (until May 2025), part-time (15.2 hours per week) position based in Ararat, VIC Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Clerks Private Sector Award Level 4. You will successfully: Perform all administrative and operational requirements, taking responsibility for the general function of the Church office as directed by the Corps Officers. Prepare meeting agendas and minutes, process email/correspondence, respond to in-person and telephone enquiries, book appointments, photocopying and filing, update Corps calendar and Corps directory for circulation. Provide mission support through various tasks Administer financial and business administration through various tasks, Work alongside to assist in Volunteer Recruitment and Compliance.
