Service Delivery Operations Engineer Location: Sydney Type: Permanent About the Company: Our client, a national logistics provider with over a century of experience, supports some of Australia’s largest retailers. With offices in Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide, and a team of 150-200 employees, they are known for their commitment to operational excellence and innovative solutions. About the Role: As a Service Delivery Operations Engineer, you will join a close-knit IT team of four, reporting directly to the Head of IT, Data & Privacy. This is a hands-on role with a broad scope across IT Operations, covering Infrastructure, Cloud, Networking, Systems, and Cyber Security. You’ll play an essential role in maintaining, supporting, and enhancing a fully Microsoft-based environment, utilising Office365 and working within a dynamic operations team to drive technical support and innovation. Responsibilities: Manage and support Office365 and SharePoint environments, ensuring smooth functionality and reliability Provide comprehensive support for VMWare and virtualised environments Lead or participate in cloud migration projects and cloud operations across Azure and AWS, with some exposure to GCP being advantageous Support network configurations and troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues Collaborate on security initiatives, contributing to the stability and security of systems and networks Offer application support across the organisation, handling escalations and solving complex issues Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to facilitate seamless service delivery and technical alignment Document operational procedures and contribute to knowledge-sharing across the IT team Key Requirements: 5 years of hands-on experience with Office365 and SharePoint Strong expertise in VMWare management and troubleshooting Experience with cloud engineering and migrations in Azure and AWS; familiarity with GCP is a plus Proven experience in application support and troubleshooting Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with third-party vendors and various business stakeholders Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement Ambitious and ready to grow within a supportive, forward-looking organisation What’s in it for You?
